Seasalt Stamford support local animal rescue charity through their #SeasaltGiving campaign

We are delighted to announce retailer Seasalt Stamford, part of the national Seasalt Cornwall retail group, have chosen to support The Mutts Nutts Rescue with their #SeasaltGiving donation this year.

We very gratefully received £500 which will go towards the cost of animals in our foster care, such as vets fees and medication, and very much look forward to welcoming the shop team who will also be volunteering with us too.

Our mascot Nutty went along to the shop to say thank you, along with a couple of responsible charity representatives! A photographer from the local Stamford & Rutland Mercury newspaper captured the moment too.

Press Release from Seasalt Cornwall:

Cornish clothing brand, Seasalt, will be giving over £30,000 this year to local charities.

Each of Seasalt’s 63 shops has nominated a charity to receive £500 and the team in the Stamford shop have chosen to support The Mutts Nutts Rescue with their 2019 donation. The shop team will also spend a day volunteering with The Mutts Nutts Rescue and two other charities, as well as donating its handmade window displays to schools and community groups. With its shops spread nationwide, Seasalt is hoping to benefit multiple charities and organisations right across the UK.

The Mutts Nutts Rescue started life as three friends wanting to make a difference in rescue – whilst still in meaningful employment. They worked by helping other rescues with funding, fostering animals, dog walking and running events. Now in 2019 and a fully-fledged registered charity, the rescue have taken 99 animals into their care, helped 64 animals find new forever homes in the local area, and have provided respite care for 35 pets while their owners were ill.

Deap Khambay, Head of Sustainability at Seasalt said, “Community is immensely important to us at Seasalt, and I am extremely proud that everyone has embraced the opportunity to positively impact more communities than ever before.”
